LEED v5
The following credits can be considered with Magiglide closet doors on all projects. While no product can become LEED certified, provided they are in compliance with the current required documentation to prove, they can help a building overall achieve LEED Platinum.
Please take a look below at the forms available for download regarding our transparency with our manufacturing materials and processes.
LEED Certification v4.1
Magiglide products are all made from 45 lb density particleboard. We have two different types of particleboard that are available for purchase. The largest MR credit for Building Life-Cycle Impact Reduction (5 points) is easier to attain using a custom door that can retrofit any opening. Keep us in mind for these preservation or renovation projects.
Standard Board
Our standard particleboard is manufactured from an environmentally friendly material. We are proud to work with a particleboard manufacturer that has announced they will be the first in the world as a Forestry Company to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2020! Our standard board is CARB Composite Wood ACTM Phase II compliant, ANSI 208.1-2016, HUD 24 CFR, CAN/CSA-0160-16 for formaldehyde emissions and can also qualify for LEED v4.1 points under:
Product contains 100% recycled wood products.
Landquist & Son packaging materials are comprised of mostly wood products, which can be recycled after shipping to reduce landfill waste when disposed on during construction.
VESTA Board
If additional LEED points are required, we suggest purchasing our VESTA Board. The VESTA is a specialty particleboard manufactured using an ultra-low emitting formaldehyde (ULEF) resin system. The product is an ECC sustainably certified product prior to going into production as a closet door. This makes it the optimal choice for additional LEED points. Our ULEF board is CARB Composite Wood ACTM Phase II compliant, ANSI 208.1-2016, HUD 24 CFR, CAN/CSA-0160-16 for formaldehyde emissions and can also qualify for LEED v4.1 points under:
Product contains 100% recycled wood products
Landquist & Son packaging materials are comprised of mostly wood products, which can be recycled after shipping to reduce landfill waste when disposed on during construction.
This VESTA Board product can gain LEED points through MR4 Credit: Environmentally Preferable Products and EQ Credit: Low Emitting Materials.
