National Green Building Standard
See below for where in NGBS our Magiglide Closet Door Systems can help your project.
601.2 Material usage.
Structural systems are designed or construction techniques are implemented that reduce and optimize material usage.
Minimum structural member or element sizes necessary for strength and stiffness in accordance with advanced framing techniques or structural design standards are selected.
601.3 Building dimensions and layouts.
Building dimensions and layouts are designed to reduce material cuts and waste. This practice is used for a minimum of 80 percent of the following areas:
(2) wall area
601.5 Prefabricated components.
Precut or preassembled components, or panelized or precast assemblies, are utilized for a minimum of 90 percent for the following system or building:
(2) wall system
601.7 Prefinished materials.
Prefinished building materials or assemblies listed below have no additional site-applied finishing material are installed.
(c) window, skylight, and door assemblies not requiring paint or stain on one of the following surfaces:
ii. interior surfaces
604.1 Recycled content.
Building materials with recycled content are used for two minor and/or two major components of the building.
per table 604.1, Material of Magiglide closet doors made from recycled content: 91.8195%
605.4 Recycled construction materials.
Construction materials are recycled offsite.
(1) a minimum of two types of materials are recycled.
(2) for each additional recycled material type.
(a) wood
609.1 Regional Materials.
Regional materials are used for major and/or minor components of the building.
Particleboard manufacturing plant to the location of Magiglide manufacturing plant: 304 miles.
612.3 Universal design elements.
Dwelling incorporates one or more of the following universal design elements.
(5) All interior and exterior door handles are levers rather than knobs.
901.4 Wood materials.
A minimum of 85% of the material within a product group is manufactured in accordance with the following:
(2) Particleboard and MDF (medium density fiberboard) is manufactured and labeled in accordance with CPA A208.1 and CPA A208.2, respectively.
(4) Particleboard is in accordance with CPA 4.
(5) Composite wood or agrifiber panel products contain no added urea-formaldehyde or are in accordance with the CARB Composite Wood Air Toxic Contaminant Measure Standard.
902.2 Building Ventilation
Ventilation airflow is tested to achieve the design fan airflow in accordance with ANSI/RESNET/ICC 380 and Section 902.2.1
